Emergency Exit & Egress Lighting

The Ontario Building Code requires emergency lighting that keeps exit paths illuminated for at least 30 minutes during a power failure, plus exit signs visible from anywhere in the space. The Fire Code adds monthly function tests and an annual 30-minute discharge test with documentation.

Combination LED exit/emergency units typically run $250–$450 each installed, with standalone battery packs and remote heads similar. A small commercial unit usually needs 4–10 devices. We lay out coverage to code so you pass fire inspection the first time.
